Portal

I was delighted to be selected (at New Designers) for Portal – an exhibition of new graduate work in the applied arts.  The exhibition highlights how contemporary craft can emphasise the sumptuous materiality of objects.  It is also very noticeable how much thought the artist/makers have put into the presentation of their work.  There is an inspiring mix of textiles, ceramics, metal work, wood carving and jewelry; the photos below give a flavour of the exhibition.

If you are in South Wales, Portal is showing at Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, Cwmbran, until 9th November, then the exhibition travels on to Oriel Davies in mid Wales from 16th November until 22nd January 2014.
