Joy Merron’s work explores textiles as an architectural form creating boundaries both physical and intangible.

Drawing with a blade, she employs materials with translucent qualities, cut and stitched to create surfaces that capture light and cast shadows.

Using layered, geometric forms she creates repeating patterns with depth and perspective, whose appearance is transformed depending on the viewpoint.
