#SeptTextileLove26 prompts

The new prompts for #SeptTextileLove 2026 are ready for you! We are excited to see what you come up with. You can find the prompts in the images above and below, and in the standard planner, and the weekly planner both of which you can download. This year we have loosely arranged the prompts into themes across the weeks of the challenge, e.g. Thursday’s prompts may be about properties of your work: colour, low impact, texture; Fridays could be about stories, language and emotion – but everything depends on your interpretation. We know you will surprise and delight us with your thoughts and images.

An image of the new weekly planner, with Monday to Sunday running down each column, each row corresponds to a day of the week and has a bit of a theme going on but we are expecting lots of subversion from your interesting interpretations!

We love to see how you interpret the prompts. There are no right or wrong ways, but obviously, your posts should start from a love of textiles. You can respond to as many or as few posts as you like, but when you post, please could you use:

  •  daily hashtags #STL26Day1, #STL26Day2 etc.
  •  #SeptTextileLove
  •  #SeptTextileLove26, and
  • tag @seam_collective.

The new hashtags should correspond to the prompt day e.g. even if it is 4 September and your post is in response to Day 3: Colour then please still use #STL26Day3. We thought the new tags worked well last year, enabling everyone to see all the posts for a day, be inspired, make connections and comment. And it is always lovely to go back and look at posts if you miss a day.

It’s such a fun way to create content for your Instagram feed and gets you to reflect on your textile practice or hobby in different ways. It’s also wonderfully inspiring and life-affirming to be part of such a wonderful textile community. Read more about #SeptTextileLove on our blog and check out the hashtags #SeptTextileLove#SeptTextileLove25 and last year’s daily hashtags to see what we got up to last year.

See you on Instagram tomorrow! Let us know what you think of the prompts and which ones were rewarding, too easy, too daunting and the ones with the best conversations.
