I have shifted from the complex to the simple for my dress.

For the background I have used madder on silk organza applied with a wax resist. The motif is stitched and then drawn into.

Once eco-resin is applied, the fabric becomes transparent and the glass fibre beneath shows through.

The pattern pieces are temporarily sewn together to achieve the design. Wax is applied before painting with madder (on pre-alumed cloth). After this process the pieces are separated and resin is applied.
