Gill Hewitt is a textile artist who creates vibrant, textural artwork for wall panels and screens. She builds a rich, beautiful tapestry of colours and textures into her work, often inspired by the natural dilapidation of materials. The unique overall effect created embodies a sense of spontaneity in which colour, contrast and texture evoke depth and perspective in the artwork.
Gill studied for an MA Design (Textiles) gaining a distinction in 2008. She also won an Innovation Award for her sound absorbing wall panels. She has exhibited internationally and was selected to exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2019.
