Despite working with natural dyes for many years, I have not tried using them in combination with wax before.This is partly due to the fact that for most natural colours you need heat and if applied cold, the dyes need to be left for a considerable period to bite. However, these experiments have proved subtle but interesting: using madder cutch and iron.
I like the layering of line drawings, which gives a feeling of the complexity of crystalline structures.
