Helen MacRitchie has a prestigious solo exhibition with Embroiderers’ Guild NSW. The show opening is on 3 September, she is giving an artist talk on 10 September, and she will be leading a workshop, Felt Lace, from 17 to 18 September.

Foraged Colour is a development of Linda Row’s vision of contemporary fashion as a closed-loop, sustainable, slow fashion industry, using locally grown and foraged plants and British fibres. Four textile artists; Gill Hewitt, Eve Kumari, Penny Wheeler, and Frances Westerduin, created unique handmade woven, non-woven and printed textiles from British wool and silk, from which garments were designed and constructed by Linda.

In this workshop you will learn about all the science and art of printing with Natural Dyes, exploring both traditional and novel dye stuffs for printing onto silk.
